Sign the Show is a feature-length documentary providing insight into Deaf Culture and the quest for access to entertainment. It brings together entertainers, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HOH) community, and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to discuss accessibility at live performances in a humorous, heartfelt, and insightful way.
Biography:
Cat Brewer's extensive background in communication, marketing, and public relations allows her to engage in careers in academia, business, and entertainment. Cat's passion for communicating, educating, and advocating inspires others to find their voice, speak their truth, and take action to make positive changes in their lives and in the lives of others. Her documentary, Sign the Show, is yet another platform to both educate and advocate for a more inclusive world. Sign the Show enlightens audiences about the challenges faced by the Deaf & HOH community as they fight for access to things most hearing people take for granted. Cat hopes her film will create a cultural shift in the entertainment industry by making open access the norm for a more inclusive world
