Gaza Collective The material in Gaza is shot and co-directed by two of Dr Tahir’s medical colleagues. We have withheld their identities through a realistic fear of their targeting in Gaza by the Israelis as a result of their work as journalists on this film as they are still working as medics in Gaza.
Mike Lerner is a multiple Oscar, BAFTA and Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker with a career spanning four decades. Bringing complex geo-political stories to mainstream audiences through engaging and powerful characters, he has produced films for HBO, Netflix, Amazon, Starz, BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Arte, HBO Europe, Warner Discovery and many others. The main focus of his films has been characters in pursuit of justice.
Martin Herring has been a director and producer for over thirty years. He has worked with Netflix, HBO, BBC, Channel Four and Discovery. The Accidental President, Klarsfeld: A Love Story, Vote Afghanistan!, Beijing Swings, What Would Jesus Drive?, The Black Widow are amongst his credits. He co-founded Roast Beef Productions with Mike Lerner and Janet Knipe. The company produced many first-time directors and talents; from Havana Marking’s multi-award-winning Afghan Star and the Oscar-nominated, multi-award-winning, Hell and Back Again.
