Crossing the Divide explores the longstanding issue of habitat fragmentation caused by roads and the detrimental consequences this has on wildlife populations. The film investigates the current wildlife crossings that have been and are being built and highlights their promising potential to restore movement patterns and support ecosystem resilience.

Biography:

Talia Frank is a film and media studies and psychology and brain sciences double major at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has a solid foundation in environmental documentary filmmaking, having worked on a range of projects that blend storytelling with pressing ecological and social issues. She has experience directing, filming and editing short-form documentaries and narrative projects, along with strong leadership experience as the president of a film production club at UCSB.
