| THE DREAMING GAME (11 min) US |
Director/Producer: Jordan Salvatoriello
Description:
Seventy-year-old baseball fan and Boston native, Raymond Gaines, returns to Fenway Park for the first time since 1964, after being wrongfully convicted of murder and serving forty-seven years in a Massachusetts prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Playing on prison baseball teams and a radio tuned into the Red Sox games, which he carried into the “hole,” helped him endure the trauma of long-term incarceration and shape the man he would become behind the wall. Today, as he awaits a decision from the Commonwealth–whether to retry or exonerate him–Raymond is learning how to reintegrate into modern society, hoping for a chance to live out his dreams of freedom amid the ongoing game of life.
