Unforgivable follows the story of Alice, a woman who lost her hand and child during the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Twenty years later, Alice is confronted by her assailant, who asks for forgiveness.

Giosue Petrone is an Italian filmmaker who previously worked on advertising campaigns for Saks Fifth Avenue and Nike. Unforgivable is his documentary filmmaking debut.
Mary Beth Minnis is an award-winning American documentary producer whose work features a wide range of human rights topics that inspire and challenge the audience. Minnis primarily tells stories from Africa. She notably produced Return to Mogadishu: Remembering Black Hawk Down, which was screened at the United Nations in 2013, and Refuge, which received numerous awards in American film festivals. Minnis’ most recent documentary, Juneteenth: Faith & Freedom, features Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Ms. Opal Lee and won the 2023 Wilbur Award.
