Description:

At the onset of the dry season, a young peasant farmer and a hard-working juçara extractivist try to keep their communities resilient with every drop of rain they can gather in a region of the Amazon Rainforest scarred by intense predatory human activity and ever-diminishing rainfall.

Biography:

Fred Rahal is a documentary filmmaker, editor and photographer who focuses on environmental justice in Brazil. He was the editor of Grazing the Amazon, a documentary about deforestation and cattle ranching, and the director of BR Above Everything, which discusses the expansion of a highway in the Amazon.
