Biography:
Sonia
Kennebeck is
documentary filmmaker and investigative journalist with more than 15
years of experience. She has directed 8 TV documentaries and more
than 50 investigative reports. Foreign Policy magazine recognized
Sonia as one of the 100
Leading Global Thinkers of 2016.
Her film, National Bird received the Ridenhour Documentary Film Prize.
Ines Hofmann
Kanna has
been producing and directing film and television projects for over 20
years. She began her career at WGBH, where she worked on the series Antiques
Roadshow.
As a freelancer, she continued to produce and direct in places as
close as Iowa and as far as Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Ines worked as
Series Producer on ITVS documentary series, Global
Voices and Women
Of The World.
Abigail Disney is
an Emmy-winning director and producer, philanthropist and the CEO and
president of Fork Films. She and Gini Reticker made the widely
acclaimed Pray the Devil Back to Hell.
In 2009, Abigail founded Peace is Loud, a nonprofit that inspires
action through media and live events that spotlight women leaders on
the frontline of peacebuilding worldwide. Disney received her
Bachelor's degree from Yale University, Master's degree from Stanford
University and her Doctorate from Columbia University.
Wim
Wenders is
an Oscar-nominated German filmmaker who gained
recognition as part of the German New Wave of the 1970s. He was
nominated for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for The
American Friend.
His American-made Paris,
Texas received critical hosannas, winning three awards at Cannes, including
the Palme d'Or, was a prelude to his greatest success Wings
of Desire.
His documentaries Buena
Vista Social Club and Pina brought him Oscar nominations.
