DESCRIPTION/

Close and Far Away is story about two childhood friends who choose, each one, a different way to pursue their dreams. Two brothers-in-law, Riad and Yosuf, live in Tira, an Arab village near the Jewish town of Kfar-Saba. Riad has always had a dream of becoming a film director. To start with, he opened a photo shop. As a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Yosuf was sentenced to 15 years in an Israeli jail. Today he is a member of a political movement called Sons of the Village. Both of them represent the conflict between Israelis and Arabs, the two nations that face a crucial intersection of war and peace.
