In attempting to make this year's UNAFF as interesting and as memorable as possible, we have planned several events. To find out their schedules and locations, follow the links below:


Opening Night

Join us this opening night in the unusual opportunity to see and hear the movie star John Savage who will honor us by speaking about his endeavors in promoting the cause of human rights around the world, and in using the film medium to raise the awareness of the community about topics which are ailing our planet. We are planning a reception entitled "Food, Music And Images From Around the World". International cusine by Ming's, Maddalena's, Cafe Fino and Prima Strada, the music is provided by recording artist, harpist Georgia Kelly, and the photo images from around the world by Christine Bois, Regina Elkan, Anne Howson, Amanda Jones, John Marino and Micheal Rutchik. We will also screen the short documentary "PRELUDIJ" ("Prelude") by Momir Matovic.

Closing Night

The reception at the Bechtel International Center at Stanford is planned to celebrate the United Nations and 50 years of the signing of the Declaration of Human Rights.

Special Program: Promoting the Documentary Cause

We have attempted to provide an engaging special program which gives a retrospective of the work of Academy Award winning documentary filmmaker, Barbara Trent. We will screen three of her feature documentaries, and she will be present at the screenings:

Seminar on Documentary Filmmaking

We have planned a round table and invited a number of interesting guests, like Jerry Aronson, Judithe Bizot, Peter Coyote, Ronny Novick, John Savage, Barbara Trent, to discuss the topic of "Documentary Filmmaking - A Forum For Open Dialogue About The World". The round table will be moderated by Jasmina Bojic.
